Teacher to read:
I will start by giving you some time to look at the map and to read the questions. When I begin to read the instructions, listen to them and look at the map while you listen. At the end of the instructions you will be asked to show with arrows the path that is described in the instructions, and answer the questions.
Trip to the Mall

Linda and Todd are staying with their Aunt over the holidays.
They have decided to go to the Mall to see a movie.
"How do we get to the Mall?" asked Linda.
"Listen carefully and I will tell you" replied Auntie.
"Go on the number 24 bus that goes down Central Street and get off by the Mall car park opposite the Mall.
Use the pedestrian crossing.
Walk through the car park to the main entrance that has two huge pohutukawa trees outside.
Go into the Mall and turn right at the information desk.
Go to McDonald's to meet your cousin Jane who wants to join you for the movie.
I want you to do one message for me before the movie. Go to the CD shop and get Hayley Westenra's latest CD. Then pop down to the Post Shop and mail it to your mother as it's her birthday next week, which you both seem to have forgotten.
Now the movie is in Theatre 3 and it finishes at 4:40 p.m. I will have the car on Main Street which is at the theatre end and I'll be waiting to collect you at 4:45 p.m.
